breast-cancer-smIt seems that there's someone in every family who has been touched by breast cancer. With early detection through examination and mammograms, diagnosis by biopsy and surgical treatment including lumpectomy or mastectomy, survival rates continue to increase.

Having an annual xray or mammogram allows comparison of previous films making the chance of missing a breast less likely. A mammogram is suggested for women at age 35 by the American Cancer Society. It is also recommended to get a mammogram every year starting at age 40. Breast lumps can be seen on mammogram every year starting at age 40. Breast lumps can be seen on a mammogram up to two years before they can be felt.

Dr. Morton performs exams, reads mammograms, performs biopsie and surgical procedures. He is also able to insert an access catheter for chemotherapy and provides follow up care for years after treatment.
